Roberto is a partner at CCB ABOGADOS. He has more than 18 years’ experience in corporate legal advice and especially legal aid, both within the private and public (state) sector.
Roberto heads the dispute resolution department providing advice and legal aid to clients within the judicial sphere as well as in arbitration procedures, both domestically and for international clients in the civil, labor, commercial, family and administrative law sub-areas. In addition, he is an expert in the use of alternative methods to resolve disputes such as mediation, conciliation and negotiation proceedings. His main objective is efficient and timely advice focused on the immediate conflict with a view to maintaining future relationships between the client and the counterparty in both the medium to long-term.
Roberto also leads the Hydrocarbons Law area and has extensive experience in the sector, since he served as head of the Legal Department of a public-private oil operating company, a Mixed Economy company.
Roberto actively participates in forums and seminars relating to mediation (both in the public and private sphere), as well as arbitration and labor law matters (for the private sector and public entities). He has also trained various public and private employees in matters of public procurement and acquisitions rules that apply to oil companies.
Roberto has been recognized by the prestigious legal directory Leaders League, and various interviews that have highlighted his work, such as the Revista Líderes publication of regional media group Grupo El Comercio.
